SWH uses L’Oreal colour, Pro-Fibre & SmartBond colour-protest treatments, including their amonia-free hair colour, Inoa, a colour range that gives impressive results and reduces the risk of damage to the hair or irritation to scalp.


As mem

bers of the National Hairdressers Federation and the Good Salon Guide, SWH has a skin-testing policy prior to colour services and in some cases may also request a strand test before a colour application. All new colour clients to SWH must be skin-tested prior to their first colour service.

We offer a complimentary colour consultation to accompany the skin-test, at least 24hours before the colour.

If you are unable to attend our Brighton salon for the skin-test, you can request a skin-test for the appropriate colours in another L’Oreal salon local to you, but you will be required to produce the L’Oreal skin-testing card, completed by the other salon with details of the products tested. Without proof of a skin-test will are unable to perform colour services.

La Riche Ltd has been established since 1981 and is the most popular brand within the intense semi-permanent pigment market, with worldwide distribution.

Directions semi-permanent hair colour comes in 34 intense shades, all available for retail at Simon Webster Hair for £5.50. All the shades can be applied in-salon or at home.




Captain Fawcett’s (UK) – The Gentleman’s Stiffener 


Captain Fawcett’s simply delectable range of first class gentleman’s grooming requisites.

In 1905 Captain Peabody Fawcett R.N Ret’d, the intrepid and eminent Edwardian explorer, disappeared whilst attempting to navigate to the source of the Ubangi, a major tributary to the Congo River. No trace was ever found of his seemingly doomed expedition… until that is, in 1997, an old battered trunk purchased at a house clearance sale, was taken home and its locks forced. Incredibly, amongst its decaying and mildewed contents was found an exquisite dressing case containing salves, unguents, ointments and the missing adventurers long lost journals. Scattered amongst the many tales of hardship, derring do and wonders seen, where one was expected to “keep a stiff upper lip, regardless”, were found meticulously detailed lists of exotic ingredients for use in the Captain’s very own grooming requisites. These precise formulae have been faithfully followed and Fawcett’s original potions, along with his world-renowned Moustache Wax are now available to the discerning gentleman for the first time in over a century.
